ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS



       Completion of at least two academic years of college study or 90 quarter hours (60 semester hours) is required prior to matriculation in the radiation therapy program. Students may apply while they are completing the admission requirements, but must complete prerequisite courses and credits prior to enrollment unless a waiver has been granted. Applicants must have one of the following (degree, certificate, prerequisites):

       All applicants are required to spend 40 hours of observation time in radiation therapy departments. Before starting observation visits each applicant must have successfully completed the OHSU online HIPAA training program and have a completion verification form with them at the time of each site visit. The web address for the HIPAA training program is:

       Each applicant should login as an alternate user and allow approximately 1 hour to complete the training.


Radiation Therapy

Associate Degree:
       Applicants who have obtained an associate degree in radiologic technology from a JRCERT accredited program and college algebra may apply. Applicants may be required to obtain additional courses during the junior and senior year to fulfill OHSU degree requirements.

Certificate:
       Applicants who have obtained a certificate in radiologic technology from a JRCERT accredited program may apply. Applicants may be required to obtain additional courses prior to admittance or during the junior or senior year to fulfill OHSU degree requirements.
